From The Superintendent's Desk
Welcome Back & Looking Ahead to 2025!
As we return from the holiday break and head into the second half of the school year, there’s an air of hope and optimism that comes with the start of a new year. This is a time for renewal and reflection, especially as we focus on the second-largest window of learning for our students.
We are now approaching our mid-year testing window, and we are excited to share that our formative assessments indicate promising growth among students. This progress is a testament to their hard work and dedication. However, as we look ahead, we must also prepare for the upcoming state tests. These tests are crucial, as they provide a way to compare how our students and our educational system perform alongside others in the state. The results from these assessments will not only shape our offerings and supports for students now but will also influence our future educational strategies.
We are confident that with continued focus and determination, our students will finish the year strong. For our seniors, graduation is less than six months away—a milestone that is fast approaching. Let’s support them as they head toward this exciting chapter with enthusiasm and perseverance!
It is also encouraging when the days begin to get longer as we see more daylight we see students' attitudes improve in schools.
May your 2025 be filled with hope, love, and optimism. Here’s to a successful second half of the school year for all!
Sincerely,
Mike Gass, Superintendent
